Comcast Interactive Media (CIM) is the division of Comcast formed in 2005 to grow online media businesses. CIM manages Comcast.net, our portal for high-speed Internet subscribers, thePlatform, a company that provides technology to manage digital content, and other new online businesses in development. CIM is focused on developing interactive services that offer video, entertainment and information to consumers across multiple platforms.
Job Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for directing all financial reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, ad hoc analysis, and various special projects.
1.) Management of weekly monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis functions for CIM.
2. ) Serve as a key liaison between CIM finance and various corporate constituents (including Senior Management).
3.) Analyze and communicate weekly metrics, monthly results, quarterly and annual projections. Analyze and communicate risks and opportunities.
4. ) Analyze and communicate reports to the CEO, monthly Board materials, CFO and analyst presentations, and quarterly earnings materials.
5.) Develop knowledge and function as an industry expert for CIM.
6. )Perform analysis and fully participate in M&A activities for CIM.
7.) Participate in special projects liaising with M&A, Strategy, and SVP of Operations.
8.) Manage a team in support of CIM and overall Company objectives and priorities.
9.) Function as the liaison with various groups (Divisions, External Reporting, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Consolidations, M&A, etc.) to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of consolidated results and related analyses.
10.)Participate and consult across multiple reporting processes such as: Earnings release, External reporting (10Q/10K), internal reporting to Senior Management, periodic reporting to divisional CEOs, various presentations to Senior Management, Board of Directors, Investors, ratings agencies, etc.
11.) Responsible for the preparation and review of budget materials for the CIM executive leaders and the Board. Manage ongoing reporting against budget and Plan objectives. Identify and execute on opportunities to streamline and improve processes and reporting.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Minimum Requirements
• BS in Accounting, CPA with earlier experience in public accounting is required; CPA/MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of high quality, best in class experience gained at well regarded organizations known for their financial rigor and discipline.
• Experience within an Internet company desired. Experience in a media or other consumer products/services driven company helpful.
• Analytical skills with a solid background in accounting and/or finance preferred.
• Must have previous experience in managing and leading a successful team.
• Must be an analytical thinker with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Must be able to handle simultaneous projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Must be a team player willing to participate in a variety of projects in a variety of roles.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Must demonstrate strong executive presence and diplomacy.
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment and to interact with individuals with various backgrounds a must.
