Community-Driven Search Developer Eurekster Raises $5.5 Million

San Francisco - Eurekster, a provider of community-driven, social search technology, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $5.5 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Technology Venture Partners and Transcosmos Investments.

San Francisco-based Eurekster says its Swicki technology allows publishers of all sizes to host search engines, enhances search engine marketing for advertisers, and improves search for end users.

The company said 18,000 publishers use its Swicki network, and that 50,000 Swickis have been created worldwide.

Eurekster will use the funds to accelerate its growth and expand the commercial and global scope of its product offering.
