Digital Content Distributor Casabi Lands $10 Million

Campbell, Calif. - Casabi, a provider of digital home content and services, said on Tuesday that it has raised $10 million in its second round of funding, led by Canaan Partners.

Previous investors Mayfield Fund and Vanguard Ventures also contributed.

Campbell, Calif.-based Casabi said that it will use the new capital to expand the range of device partners and technology platforms that it supports, as well as the services available through its platform.

Casabi was founded in 2004 by Greg Pounds, Tim Kusumi and Dave Weinstein, and was originally incubated at Mayfield Fund.

The company, which has raised a total of $15.5 million, delivers Web-based content and services -- such as ringtones, ads and directories -- to broadband IP connected telephones on behalf of its partners.
