Washington - National Geographic announced on Monday that it has acquired The Green Guide, a website and newsletter that offers practical advice on how consumers can be more eco-conscious. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 1994, The Green Guide will now publish new and expanded online content, including how-to videos, on NationalGeographic.com. "We want to offer creative and practical ways to protect the planet," said Tim Kelly, president and CEO of National Geographic Ventures.  "This is a terrific marriage that joins The Green Guide's actionable editorial with the deep resources of National Geographic."
