West Hollywood, Calif. - IAC/InterActive Corp.'s Ticketmaster announced on Monday that it will acquire a majority stake in Nashville-based Echomusic, an online fan club and brand management company whose 300 clients include Kelly Clarkson and Rascal Flatts.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ticketmaster said that it will integrate Echomusic's technology to help artists build brand awareness, increase fan memberships and drive ticket sales.

The companies will also look to integrate more with IAC's Ask.com and Citysearch to create new channels for music discovery and distribution.

"We are excited to join forces with echomusic, which is the most comprehensive platform we have found to enable relevant and deep relationships between fans and their favorite artists, athletes, teams, and venues." said Ticketmaster president and CEO Sean Moriarty.
