Redwood City, Calif. - Video game developer and publisher Electronic Arts announced on Tuesday that it will invest $105 million for a 19% stake in Korean online game developer Neowiz.

Upon closing, EA will be Neowiz' second-largest shareholder, behind founder and CEO Sung Kyun Na.

EA and Neowiz partnered last year to launch "FIFA Online" in Korea, which now claims over 4.4 million subscribers.

The companies plan to co-develop four online games for the Asian market; Neowiz has the rights to publish two of the four titles in Korea and Japan.

Founded in 1997, Seoul-based Neowiz published over 50 online games in 2006, and expects to post revenues of $150 million for 2007.
