Portable Device Chipmaker Artimi Adds $5 Million to Second Round

Santa Clara, Calif. - Artimi, a developer of wireless semiconductors for portable consumer electronics, said on Wednesday that it has added $5 million more in funding to close its second round at $31.5 million.

New investor Khosla Ventures provided the latest investment, which increased Artimi's overall financing to $50 million.

The company's other investors include Accel Partners, Amadeus Capital Partners, Index Ventures, Oak Investment Partners and Bank of Scotland Growth Equity.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Artimi's products employ ultra-wideband (UWB) radio techniques to enable high-speed wireless bulk data transfer between portable consumer electronics products.
