San Mateo- Akimbo Systems, developer of an Internet video-on-demand service, on Thursday named Thomas Frank as its president and CEO. Frank, previously the president of White Dog Media and COO of Real Networks, replaces Joshua Goldman, who will remain on the company's board. Wind-up Entertainment announced today that subsequent to an agreement between Chairman Alan Meltzer and Steven Lerner, Lerner submitted a formal resignation to the Company on March 9, 2007. According to the announcement, on March 13, Lerner announced his resignation from Wind-up via an e-mail sent to friends and industry colleagues, and on March 19 he concluded with a farewell e-mail to the Wind-up staff.
