San Francisco – Pulse Mobile, a provider of user-generated mobile messaging and entertainment services, announced that it has raised $7 million in its second round of venture capital financing.

Participants included Anthem Venture Partners, Draper Associates, Shea Ventures, Hikari Tsushin Group, and several other Asian and European investors.

San Francisco-based Pulse Mobile's Veepers Content Engine automatically transforms 2D facial images into animated 3D characters with synchronized audio, and can be used to create user-generated animated picture messages, mobile wallpaper, video ringtones and other media.

The company will use the funds to expand the core functionality of its technology and support its distribution network.
