Schaumberg, Ill. - Motorola Ventures announced on Tuesday that it has made an equity investment in GoTV Networks, a provider of made-for-mobile TV programming.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Founded in 2005, Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based GoTV Networks produces video programming formatted for viewing on mobile phones -- on topics ranging from hip-hop to fantasy sports -- that is accessible on major U.S. mobile networks.

"We are committed to enabling the best mobile video entertainment experiences for consumers around the globe and our investment in GoTV further reinforces this," said Motorola Ventures managing director Reese Schroeder.
