Baltimore - Advertising.com, the online ad unit of AOL, will provide ad management services for the new Internet distribution network announced last week by NBC Universal and News Corp.
The network, which analysts believe will provide competition for YouTube, will feature ad-supported programming, movies and clips from at least a dozen networks and two major film studios beginning this summer.
Users will be able to share their own videos, as well. Under the agreement, Advertising.com will deliver and manage display and video advertising for the site, as well as for the embedded video player on the sites of partners AOL, MSN, MySpace and Yahoo.
