Product Recommendation Software Firm Baynote Raises $10.75 Million

Cupertino, Calif. - Baynote, a developer of software that delivers product recommendations, content suggestions and socially-driven search results, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $10.75 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Steamboat Ventures.

Previous investors Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, JK&B Capital and Chess Ventures also participated.

Founded in 2004, Cupertino, Calif.-based Baynote's UseRank technology provides online retailers with real-time product and content recommendations for their customers.

The company will use the funds for research and development and customer operations, and to accelerate growth within the e-commerce sector.
