Los Angeles - The Daily Reel, an entertainment site that aggregates videos from a range of third-party sites, has raised seed financing in "the high six figures" from Prism VentureWorks, PaidContent reported.

Founded in 2006 by Jeff Stern and movie producer Jamie Patricof ("Half Nelson," "Sugar"), Los Angeles-based The Daily Reel says its mission is "to sift through the nipple-slipping lip-synchers, find the good stuff, and show you what you need to watch."

The company will use the funds for technical development and to hire additional staff, NewTeeVee reports.
