New York – Sandisk Corp. announced Monday that Yahoo Inc. will provide the music service for the Sansa Connect digital audio player, Reuters reported. The player, which features a Wi-Fi wireless communication connection, allows users to download Yahoo music without using a PC.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, though Sandisk said Sansa Connect will offer both free and subscription-based services from Yahoo.
Sansa Connect, announced at CES in January, is available in the US. According to Sandisk, they are currently the second highest selling MP3 selling company behind Apple.
The Sansa Connect retails for about $250. |
