New York - The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences on Tuesday announced nominees for the 11th Annual Webby Awards, dubbing 2007 "The Year of Online Video."
The Academy said it received 8,000 entries from all 50 states and a record 60 countries this year, for awards to be handed out in more than 100 categories.
The BBC received the most nominations (5); NPR, NYTimes.com and Salon.com all received four nominations each.
New this year will be a separate Webby Film & Video Awards, to be presented in New York City a day before the 11th Annual Webby Awards Gala on June 5.
Web users may vote on the Webby People's Voice Awards today through April 27.
