Casual Multiplayer Game Publisher Outspark Secures Funding

San Francisco
- Outspark, a publisher of casual, multiplayer online games, announced on Tuesday that it has raised an undisclosed sum in its first round of financing, led by Altos Ventures and DCM.

San Francisco-based Outspark, which maintains a development studio in Seoul, Korea, is focused on porting Asian games to the U.S. marketplace.

The company will use the funds to develop its distribution platform, and for the publishing and production of online games.

The company is a game publisher, members of whose management team have previously managed casual games portals for Yahoo and others.
