Portland, Ore. - Ensequence, a developer of software used to create and manage interactive video content across TVs, PCs and mobile devices, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $40 million in its third round of venture capital financing, from an undisclosed private equity firm.

Oregon-based Ensequence's software is used by media customers including Disney, Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MTV and TV Guide, and broadcasters including the BBC, BSkyB, Cox and DISH Network.

The company will use the funds to continue its worldwide expansion, to include the opening of new offices in Los Angeles and New York, as well as to complete operator deployments and bring the next generation of its software to market.
