Report: DirecTV, Google in Discussions over Ad Deal
/ April 10, 2007 9:11 pm

Who would have guessed another major TV ad deal could be in the works from Google after last week’s announced partnership with Dish Network?  VentureBeat is reporting just that, saying Google is in discussions with the country’s largest satellite service, DirecTV.

According to VentureBeat, the reason the deal has yet to take place is because DirecTV is still dealing with the ownership change announced last year that would transfer the company from News Corp to Liberty Media.

Citing an anonymous source, however, apparently the deal is a lock.  Neither DirecTV nor Google would comment on the story.
