San Mateo, Calif. - Rinera Networks, a provider of Internet video distribution tools for content owners and aggregators, said on Tuesday that it has raised $9 million in its first round of funding, from previous investors New Enterprise Associates and Foundation Capital.

The company said that it use the funding to further develop its technology for distributing video over the Internet.

San Mateo, Calif.-based Rinera is currently conducting trials with a small group of customers, and plans to make its technology available to the general marketplace later this year.
