New York - Video game publisher Take-Two Interactive is among a list of defendants being sued by the creator of the "Ghost Rider" comic book, who claims the companies have violated his copyrights with the video game and other ancillary products related to the comic's recent movie spin-off, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Along with Take-Two, which published the "Ghost Rider" video game, Gary Friedrich has sued Sony Pictures, Marvel Enterprises, Columbia TriStar, Hasbro, Relativity Media, Crystal Sky Pictures and Michael De Luca Productions.

Friedrich claims the companies engaged in a "joint venture and conspiracy to exploit, profit from and utilize" his "Ghost Rider" copyrights.

Friedrich is seeking unspecified damages for copyright infringement, and also claims breach of unfair competition laws, negligence, waste, tortuous interference with prospective business expectancy, misappropriation of characters, unauthorized use of the characters and false advertising and endorsement.
