Los Angeles - Television and film producer Norman Lear's Declare Yourself, a nonpartisan, nonprofit voter registration organization, announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with Yahoo, MySpace, YouTube, Evite, Friendster and others to promote its 2008 campaign efforts.

Declare Yourself said it registered well over one million people under 30 in the 2004 and 2006 elections.

For 2008, the organization will work with MySpace to create content, video contests and special projects, while providing links to register to vote.

Yahoo will serve as Declare Yourself's "Premier Online Information Partner," collaborating on special features for Yahoo News and Yahoo Answers.

Los Angeles-based Declare Yourself also announced that Golden Globe winner America Ferrera, from ABC's "Ugly Betty," and Hayden Panettiere, from NBC's "Heroes," will serve as spokespeople for the project.
