Video Ad Network VideoEgg Gets Investment from WPP

San Francisco - VideoEgg, the provider of a video advertising network, announced on Monday that it has received a strategic investment from communications services group WPP.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2005, San Francisco-based VideoEgg's Eggnetwork serves invitation-based advertising that is seen on more than 60 online social networks -- including AOL, Bebo and Tagged -- which collectively stream as many as 20 million videos daily.

The company's previous investors include Maveron, August Capital and First Round Capital.
