Tokyo - Days after announcing it would discontinue the 20GB PlayStation 3 in North America, Sony said on Tuesday that it is considering the release of a model with a larger hard drive than even the 60GB version, Reuters reported.

"For users who vigorously store (games and other entertainment content) in the PS3, 20-giga is probably going to be too small, and even 60-giga may not be big enough eventually," Sony Computer Entertainment spokesman Satoshi Fukuoka told Reuters.

Fukuoka added that Sony was not likely to alter other key features of the console, such as its Blu-ray drive, Cell processor and network capability.
