London - ROK Entertainment, a provider of on-demand mobile TV services, has raised $7 million in new financing from undisclosed European institutions, in anticipation of its initial public offering later this year.

Founded in 2003, U.K.-based ROK provides on-demand mobile TV programming to some 30 mobile network partners in the U.K., Brazil, China, Thailand and Turkey.

The company plans to offer 30 subscription-based channels by the end of 2007, and has developed a feature-length, made-for-mobile film called "Kung Fusion."

ROK also has an office in Beijing, and is establishing a U.S. office in Los Angeles.
