New York - Major record label Warner Music Group and German media conglomerate Bertelsmann jointly announced on Tuesday that they have settled litigation filed by Warner over Bertelsmann's 2001 investment in the original Napster file-sharing service.

According to a regulatory filing, Warner Music said it will receive payments of $110 million.

"The settlement covers the resolution of the legal claims of WMG's recorded music and music publishing businesses. Bertelsmann admits no liability in making this settlement," the joint statement reads.

Bertelsmann has settled similar lawsuits with EMI Group, in March, and with Universal Music Group, in June 2006.
