Vice President, Business Development - ROO - New York, NY

ROO, www.roo.com - is a top 10 global online video company providing turnkey web-based video solutions for advertisers, broadcasters, publishers and other online media companies. We boast a long list of blue chip clients, industry leading technologies, and one of the world's largest online video content libraries.

ROO seeks to hire an innovative thinker to grow and develop our global online video business. This person will be accountable for creating revenue opportunities, assessing marketing opportunities and target markets, intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, generating leads for the sales, distribution and content groups, writing proposals, making presentations and designing business models.

ROO needs someone who:
•    Has a entrepreneurial sensibility, an appetite for risk and is a big thinker.  
•    Has high-level contacts and relationships at companies in the media, entertainment and internet business.
•    Is successful because they understand the multi-disciplinary approach to business development beyond just “a sale to a customer.”
•    Has experience across a wide array of areas, including legal, marketing and finance and is open-minded enough to be innovative in using this experience creatively to identify and meet new challenges.  It’s the perfect balance of the creative, the pragmatic and the analytical
•    Is comfortable measuring results and being accountable for revenue.
•    Is highly competitive and has a strong work ethic: this position is at the center of ROO's business and we need someone who has the drive to find new revenue models and services that customers want and to out-execute our competitors.
•    Has amazing presentation and writing skills.
•    Is comfortable in the online video space and the worlds of media, entertainment, advertising, sports, content and
•    Has a team attitude: a willingness to roll up their sleeves and has a service approach to leadership.
Qualifications include:
•    BA with advanced degree preferred
•    Minimum 15 years business development experience
