E-mail RSS Distribution Service Rmail Acquired by NBC Universal

Los Angeles - Rmail, a service that allows users to subscribe to RSS feeds via e-mail, announced that it has been acquired by NBC Universal.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Rmail president and founder Randy Morin said his application has over 50,000 users, 100,000 subscriptions and is sending over 50,000 e-mails per day.

"What does [the deal] mean to Rmail users? It means a lot of new stuff is coming, as we finally have the team to make this joyride a rollercoaster," Morin wrote on the company's blog.

I can't believe NBC shut down this service withbout any warning. At least the VP in charge was fired.
