Toronto, Canada - Canadian independent production company Barna-Alper Productions announced that it has made an undisclosed strategic investment in iThentic, a New York-based online and mobile video company.

The new joint venture will operate from Toronto and New York, producing and aggregating independently-produced video destined for online and mobile distribution.

The iThentic mobile video service launched with Canadian operator Rogers's new on-demand wireless video service last month; the service is slated to launch in the U.S. through mobile entertainment provider Cellfish.
