San Jose, Calif. - Adobe Systems, the maker of Web publishing software, said on Thursday that it will acquire Novato, Calif.-based Scene7, a developer of rich media delivery services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
San Jose, Calif.-based Adobe said that it plans to offer and expand the company's interactive publishing services. Most of Scene7's employees are expected to join Adobe, with CEO Doug Mack taking the position of vice president of creative solutions services.
Clients such as Sears, Macy's, Levi Strauss & Co. and QVC currently use Scene7 to automate the production and availability of rich media features on their websites.
