Redwood City, Calif. - Frengo, a mobile social network, announced on Thursday that it has raised $5.7 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by Trilogy Equity Partners.

Other investors included Khosla Ventures and Index Ventures.

Redwood City, Calif.-based Frengo provides a social network for mobile phones, offering games and user-created elements like polls and bulletins that are delivered via SMS and MMS messages. The company also provides a mobile link to News Corp.'s MySpace network.

Frengo previously raised $2.3 million in initial funding in December.
