Helsinki, Finland - Comeks, a Finland-based developer of tools for creating user-generated mobile content, announced that it has raised an undisclosed sum in its first round of funding, from Accel Partners.

The company's software can be downloaded by users to their phones, and then used to create panel-style comics using photos, text and cartoonish images.

The resulting "comeks" may then be shared using e-mail, SMS or MMS services.
