Natalie Portman Goes VC Hunting

Natalie Portman According to Valleywag, actress Natalie Portman is looking for funding.  Not a new idea by any stretch, she’s hoping to begin a site that documents her personal and work life.  Apparently Charles River Ventures met with her to discuss details.  It’s all part of a growing trend in Hollywood.  Will Ferrell and Sequoia Capital joined forces to create Funny or Die, a video site that features short content from the comedian as well as other Hollywood personalities.  Portman’s interest in an internet reality series brings to mind LonelyGirl15, whose act remains popular.  With a similar format and a decidedly more famous face in front of the camera, the product seems enticing.  Will anyone watch?  Does it matter?
