Buongiorno Acquires Mobile Marketer Flytxt for $5.4 Million

Milan - European online and mobile entertainment distributor Buongiorno announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire London-based Flytxt, a provider of mobile marketing and advertising services, for about $5.4 million.

Founded in 2000, Flytxt -- which has a U.S. office in Seattle -- has created mobile campaigns for clients including Time Inc., Random House and Cingular/"American Idol".

Milan, Italy-based Buongiorno, which saw revenues of $260 million in 2006, said the purchase is in line with its strategy to strengthen its digital marketing services offering.

The Flytxt Neon boys don't seem to be doing so well. I heard a rumour that times are hard on there financials and that at least one of the exec. team has been totting his CV around some of the competition.
