Dulles, Va. - Marking its second acquisition of an advertising company this week, AOL said on Wednesday that it has acquired a controlling interest in Germany's ADTECH AG, a provider of online advertising services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

AOL said that the deal gives it an array of tools that will allow website publishers to manage and report on their online advertising campaigns.

"Publishers will be able to better manage their own advertiser campaigns… as well as better monetize their available inventory," said Lynda Clarizio, the president of Advertising.com.

ADTECH will operate as an independent unit of AOL's Baltimore-based Advertising.com division.

On Tuesday, AOL announced its acquisition of Boston-based Third Screen Media, the operator of a web-based, mobile ad management and delivery platform that connects agencies, publishers and carriers.
