Atlanta - DiscRevolt, a developer of online music downloading technology for independent musicians, has raised $1.5 million in funding from a group of angel investors, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported.

Atlanta-based DiscRevolt offers individually designed download cards that musicians can sell to fans, who then download songs from DiscRevolt's website.

The company plans to sell the cards to musicians in bulk for $0.50 cents each and recommends that musicians sell them to fans for $5 each — or about $0.33 cents per song on a 15-track card, according to the article.
