San Francisco - Greystripe, a distributor of ad-supported mobile games and applications, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $8.9 million in its second round of financing, led by Disney's Steamboat Ventures.
Previous investors Monitor Ventures and Incubic Venture Capital also participated.
San Francisco-based Greystripe's network offers over 800 free, ad-supported mobile games from 70 publishers. The free games have been downloaded more than 7 million times since the company's launch less than a year ago.
Greystripe will use the funding for product development, and to expand partnerships and reach in Europe and Asia.
