Stand-up Comedy Videos Publisher Rooftop Media Raises $2.5 Million

San Francisco - Rooftop Media, a site that offers online stand-up and sketch comedy video and audio files, has raised $2.5 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by Azure Capital Partners, VentureWire reported.

San Francisco-based Rooftop's RooftopComedy.com site offers both on-demand and live streaming of stand-up and sketch comedy routines, from venues including San Francisco's SF Comedy Club, Austin's Cap City Comedy Club and Chicago Underground Comedy.

The company will use the funds for product development, as well as for sales and marketing efforts.
