Hollywood - Buzznet, an online social network with 6 million users, announced on Thursday that it has raised $6 million in a new round of venture capital financing, led by Redpoint Ventures and Anthem Venture Partners.

Launched in 2005, Los Angeles-based Buzznet focuses on music, and offers tools that let users program, participate, interact and create multimedia communities around various topics and content.

The company said it is the fastest-growing social networking site, according to data from market research firm Hitwise.
