Cambridge, Mass. - Greentech Media, a publisher that focuses on environmentally sustainable energy technologies, has raised $1 million in its first round of venture capital, co-led by Northport Private Equity and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Founded in January, the company is currently developing online media products, including news, technical research and analysis, and plans to produce industry-focused events.

Cambridge, Mass.-based Greentech has additional operations in New York City and San Francisco.
