ROO Group Inc., a provider of online video solutions for content owners, advertisers and Web sites, today announced the appointment of Simon Bax, Stephen Palley, and Scott Ackerman to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. The additions increase the size of ROO's Board to six members, including four independent directors. The new board members join current members Robert Petty, Chairman and CEO, ROO Group; Robin Smyth, Executive Director, ROO Group and Doug Chertok, an independent director.
Comcast Corporation, the cable entertainment and communications company, today announced that Marlene S. Dooner has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and D'Arcy F. Rudnay has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. Ms. Dooner, who joined Comcast in 1995 as Director of Investor Relations and most recently served as Vice President of Investor Relations, is responsible for developing and managing relationships with the investment community and shareholders. Ms. Rudnay joined Comcast in December 2003 as Vice President of Corporate Communications, and is responsible for strategic communications planning and facilitating unified and consistent communications for the entire Comcast family of companies.
MobiTV, Inc., a provider and platform for content delivery over mobile and broadband networks, today announced the appointment of Bill Losch as the Company's chief financial officer (CFO). Losch brings more than two decades of experience in the corporate financial field to the MobiTV executive team; boasting executive leadership positions at DreamWorks Animation, Yahoo! Inc., Universal Studios Inc. and KPMG. In this position, Losch will be responsible for all finance and administration functions including corporate finance, accounting and control, legal affairs and human resources.
