Cupertino, Calif. - Apple has announced that it plans next month to begin making YouTube content available on televisions through its Apple TV wireless streaming device.

"This is the first time users can easily browse, find and watch YouTube videos right from their living room couch, and it's really, really fun," said Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

"YouTube is a worldwide sensation, and Apple TV is bringing it directly from the Internet onto the widescreen TV in your living room."

Apple said thousands of YouTube videos will be available on Apple TV from mid-June, with YouTube adding thousands more each week until the full YouTube catalog is available in the fall.

YouTube members will also be able to log-in to their YouTube accounts via Apple TV, to view and save favorite videos.

Apple also announced that it will offer a $399, 160GB version of Apple TV beginning today.
