The Director, Product Management position is responsible for managing product specialists/managers and providing strategic direction to the group. This individual will develop and execute a business plan to support products in the field and lead the development of new products. This individual will:

Create pragmatic workflow procedures for customer acquisition and implementation
Lead efforts with other departments to determine product positioning and strategies
Consistently communicate and consult with Senior Leadership on project status, launches, and challenges including recommendations for appropriate resolution
Maintain open relationships and communication with all departments
Develop processes for aggregating customer feedback and enabling the development of product functional requirements
Proactively gain knowledge of and become familiar with existing Products and their technical aspects
Specify product requirements for current and future products
Work closely with software engineers to plan and prioritize product enhancements and new product releases
Seek to understand and help to further AMG’s position within the marketplace
Take initiative in suggesting new policies, procedures and ideas that can improve the department’s efficiency and productivity
Follow priority directives from management, as well as establishing the most efficient priorities for individual work-load
Perform market analysis for existing and new products

Qualifications:

Required:

Ten to fifteen years overall experience in software, publishing, or online media
Minimum of five years of experience in market facing activities: product support, product management, business development, marketing, etc.
Five years of experience managing a group with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate strong, goal-oriented teams
Demonstrated experience performing market analysis
Experience creating and executing go to market and product launch plans
Bachelor’s Degree

Desired:

Related Master’s degree
Ability to create tangible strategies and plans in a fast paced environment
Capable of managing and balancing multiple projects and a high workload
Demonstrate creative, effective solutions to business issues and problems
Active interest in, and familiarity with, current trends in digital media and entertainment technology
