Cupertino, Calif. - Apple has confirmed a release date of June 29 for its highly-anticipated iPhone, according to new TV ads for the combination iPod and mobile phone device that debuted on Sunday.

The iPhone is slated to go on sale for either $500 (4GB) or $600 ($8GB) from both online and physical stores operated by Apple and AT&T/Cingular.
