Schaumberg, Ill. - Motorola Ventures announced on Tuesday that it has made an undisclosed investment in Vocel, a San Diego-based developer of mobile "push" marketing technology.

Vocel's INCA (Interactive Commerce Accelerator) marketing services provide opt-in personalization, wake-up discovery and one-click purchasing designed to encourage new data users and increase revenue for mobile operators and content publishers.

The service personalizes each marketing message using a recommendation engine that analyzes user-supplied demographics and past buying habits. Customers include Qualcomm, Harlequin and Random House.
