New York - Major League Gaming, a professional video game league, announced on Wednesday its acquisition of GotFrag.com, an online news site that covers competitive gaming.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2002, GotFrag now reaches 700,000 unique visitors a month.

The acquisition follows MLG's late 2006 purchase of Gamebattles.com, an online tournament site that has become a "farm system" for MLG's own circuit.
