Tokyo - Nintendo's Wii console outsold Sony's PlayStation 3 by more than five to one last month in Japan, Reuters reported, citing data from Japanese game magazine publisher Enterbrain.
The Wii sold 251,794 units in Japan in May, compared with 45,321 PlayStation 3 units.
Factors cited for the PlayStation 3's relatively lackluster sales include the console's high price tag, and lack of enough compelling game titles for the platform.
