San Francisco - GoFish, a video-sharing site that features a mix of professionally-produced and user-generated content, announced on Friday that it has raised $10.3 million through a private placement of convertible notes.

Two-year-old GoFish, headquartered in San Francisco, operates a website similar to YouTube where users can upload and share their videos. The company also develops its own slate of "Made for Internet" programs.

GoFish intends to use the proceeds for working capital, further development of its own programming, closure of its previously announced acquisition of Bolt Media, and to expand sales and marketing efforts.
