Director of Interactive Product Strategy - Cablevision - Long Island, NY

The Director will drive the growth and monetization of Cablevision’s interactive business by developing product strategies & creating/enhancing interactive venues within iO and Optimum Online that translate into new, high-margin client businesses.  He/she will manage strategy development, analysis and related business development to maximize Cablevision’s segment of the advertising and commerce markets.  He/she will help develop strategies to identify/evaluate disruptive interactive advertising and commerce product models designed to siphon the media and commerce spend from non-interactive platforms to the interactive sales engines of television and the Internet.  The Director will utilize and analyze market data (competitive analysis and, where available, consumer research) to identify trends that will help guide decision-making regarding existing and new product development as well as enhance offerings in order to generate increased revenue in current and new markets.

Specific responsibilities:
  • Help analyze opportunities and develop strategies to generate new multi-million-dollar interactive experiences in partnership with regional and national advertisers, programmers and technology companies.
  • Identify new opportunities/alliances that leverage iO and OOL’s network and interactive platforms as well as third-party partnerships to build unique competitive offerings in the market; formulate deal strategy and carry out negotiations.
  • Develop/communicating strategies to Sr. Management on diverse topics including ROIs and business cases for new product features.
  • Formulate revenue, cash flow growth and pricing strategy.
  • Support budgets & forecasts, long and short term financial planning, operating metrics formation, and tracking analysis.

QUALFICIATIONS:
  • 5+ years of interactive management and industry involvement.
  • 5+ years of strategy experience management in corporate setting.
  • 2+ years of business development experience.
  • Experience in online advertising and commerce services.  T-Commerce (TV) experience a plus.
  • Internet knowledge and basic understanding of web technologies, and processes.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Ability to carry out complex analysis, competitive intelligence and market research projects and create clear concise presentations on quantitative and qualitative findings to senior management.
  • Team-oriented professional with the ability to work in a start-up business environment and establish relationships across the organization.
