Mobile Content Publisher FunMobility Acquires InfoSpace Media Studios

Pleasanton, Calif. - FunMobility, a provider of wireless community and media services, announced on Monday that it has acquired InfoSpace Media Studios (formerly Moviso), a publisher and distributor of mobile content and applications.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

InfoSpace formed the Los Angeles-based unit after its acquisition of Moviso from Vivendi Universal in 2003.

FunMobility provides a range of wireless applications and services, including ringtones, mobile comics, wallpapers and animated greetings.

Pleasanton, Calif.-based FunMobility said the deal will give it one of the largest mobile content libraries in the world.
