The Director of Business Development is charged with developing and overseeing the implementation of partnerships and alliances that enhance Cablevision’s competitive position by increasing revenue, acquisition, and retention for Optimum products and services. The scope of this position encompasses the entire business development process from strategy and business case development to contract negotiations and operational implementation.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Creating alternative distribution alliances e.g. retail, resellers, e-tailers
• Evaluating, recommending and developing new strategic partnerships for all Optimum products.
• Managing current partnerships and contract renewals.
• Overseeing development and marketing of Optimum Store.com
• Developing new commerce partnerships which yield growth and or retention benefits.
• Supporting customer acquisition efforts though offer development and initiation.
• Evaluating impact of partnerships on retention and growth.
• Developing and managing operational implementation of alliances.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MBA, BA or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years experience in strategic development, positioning and marketing.
• Facility with quantitative research: ability to identify shifts and emerging trends in marketplace and technology space as well as ability to monitor performance against objectives.
• Cross-Functional Leadership Skills: actively establishes an internal network of relationships at all levels of the organization to drive projects along, team-oriented.
• Strategic and Conceptual Ability: thinks big picture, open minded, entertains wide-ranging possibilities and identifies fresh approaches, envisions potential partners, a potential market shaper.
• Sales: Ability to reach decision makers, craft deals and establish strong partner relationships.
• Communication skills: communicates clearly and to the point, both orally and in writing, generates enthusiasm around strategies and partnerships.
